Magnet

Magnet RecognizedBayhealth earned the prestigious Magnet® designation in recognition of our nursing excellence for the first time in 2015, and again in 2020. Receiving Magnet recognition for the second time is a great achievement for Bayhealth as it continues to proudly belong to the global community of Magnet-recognized organizations. Just 8% of U.S. hospitals have achieved Magnet recognition.

Magnet recognition is granted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), the credentialing body of the American Nurses Association, to honor health care organizations for nursing professionalism, teamwork, quality patient care, and innovations in nursing practice. We are extremely proud to be among an elite group of about seven percent of the nation’s hospitals who are recognized by the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.

We began our efforts toward Magnet designation in 2007, and over the course of that time transformed our nursing services, clinical outcomes and the way we deliver patient care. Being a Magnet-designated hospital is evidence of our relentless pursuit of nursing excellence.
