Media Information

At Bayhealth, we value transparency and collaboration with the media while prioritizing the privacy and safety of our patients. Below is important information for media professionals seeking to connect with us:

Contact Information

For all media inquiries related to news or feature stories, please reach out to the Bayhealth Marketing, Communications and Community Outreach team:

We kindly ask that you do not contact patients, physicians, or other staff directly.

Interview and Photo Requests

All interviews and photo shoots must be arranged through Bayhealth Marketing, Communications and Community Outreach. A team member will accompany media representatives during visits to any Bayhealth facility to ensure compliance with privacy and safety protocols.

  • Patient Requests: Any media involvement with patients must be coordinated with the patient care team and requires written authorization from the patient prior to participation. Until written authorization is received, we cannot confirm or arrange patient involvement.

Patient Safety and Privacy

Patient safety and privacy are our top priorities. Media access may be denied if it interferes with patient care or hospital operations.

For inquiries regarding patient conditions, the following guidelines apply:

  • The inquiry must include the patient’s full name.
  • We can provide a one-word status update if the patient is listed in our directory and has not requested their information be kept private. Status terms include:
    • Undetermined: Awaiting physician evaluation.
    • Good: Stable vital signs; patient is comfortable.
    • Fair: Stable vital signs; patient may be uncomfortable.
    • Serious: Unstable vital signs; patient is acutely ill.
    • Critical: Unstable vital signs; patient may be unconscious.
