Bayhealth is proud to announce the success of its 39th Annual Bayhealth Foundation Dover Motor Speedway Golf Tournament, held to raise funds for the Bayhealth Cancer Institute. The event, which took place at Wild Quail Golf & Country Club in Camden Wyoming, Delaware, saw an enthusiastic turnout of participants and supporters, all dedicated to the fight against cancer.
The tournament showcased Bayhealth’s commitment to supporting vital cancer treatment programs at the Bayhealth Cancer Institute. Through sponsorships, donations, and participation fees, the event exceeded expectations, raising $80,000 to advance cancer care in the region.
Bayhealth Foundation President Lindsay Rhodenbaugh, DMin, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support. “We are thrilled by the success of this year’s spring golf tournament. The contributions will make a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families, as we continue our mission to provide exceptional care and support throughout their journey.”
Through clinical expertise and personalized care, the Bayhealth Cancer Institute team offers hope for a healthier future for every cancer patient. Through the Survivorship Program, the institute provides cancer patients and their caregivers a pathway after treatment. A team of nurse navigators compassionately guide patients through each step after a cancer diagnosis, aiding and supporting them in their journey to better health.
Bayhealth’s cancer programs have expanded in recent years to meet the growing needs of our community. We offer genetic counseling and access to clinical research through our partnership with Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center. In 2022, Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus was the first in Delaware and one of the first 50 programs in the U.S. recognized by the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC).
