Bayhealth was once again one of the leading companies participating in the Southern Delaware Heart Walk on Nov. 3. Bayhealth team members, clinicians and supporters donned their bright blue shirts and celebrated another successful year of fundraising on behalf of the American Heart Association of Delaware (AHA). Bayhealth, a signature sponsor of the walk raised and donated $30,621 to the cause.
“Every year, Bayhealth comes out to support the AHA by walking to fight cardiovascular disease, which continues to be the leading cause of death in the United States,” said Ben Collins, MBA, BSN, Bayhealth senior director of Operations Cardiovascular Service Line. “The participation of our Bayhealth team members is so amazing. We look forward to next year’s walk to raise even more funds for cardiovascular research.”
Bayhealth Heart Walk Leadership Committee member and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Manager Devin Rhodes added that, “Participating in the walk is an impactful way to support cardiovascular health, raise awareness and fund lifesaving research. It encourages a healthy lifestyle, brings communities together, and honors those affected by heart disease and stroke. Every step taken and every dollar raised helps pave the way for a future with stronger hearts and longer lives. I am so proud of our team for coming out each year and supporting the AHA.”
