Palliative Care improves the lives of patients and their families facing serious illness
Palliative Care is medical care for patients suffering from the pain and symptoms stemming from a serious or complex illness.
The goal of Bayhealth’s Palliative Care Program is to help patients live comfortably and to optimize the quality of life for patients and their families. We’re proud to offer inpatient services for patients at both of our hospital campuses, as well as outpatient services by appointment at our Bayhealth Palliative Care practice or through telehealth.
The Palliative Care Program
Our Palliative Care team offers consultation in the hospital setting and helps patients be better prepared after their stay. And we’re able to continue this relationship after a patient is discharged, if they wish to follow up with our Bayhealth Palliative Care practice.
Palliative Care services are accessible through our medical practice at any point in someone’s illness and for any length of time. Our experienced and compassionate staff will work with you and your loved ones, along with your other specialists, to manage symptoms and treatment side effects for improved day-to-day living.
