Bayhealth Earns Aster Awards for Excellence in Marketing Efforts

Bayhealth’s Marketing, Communications & Community Outreach team was honored with four Aster Awards for work completed in 2023. The Aster Awards are one of the most prestigious competitions in healthcare marketing and advertising. For over 23 years, the Aster Awards has honored outstanding professionals who demonstrate excellence and innovation in their marketing efforts.
This year, the competition saw a remarkable array of entries. A distinguished panel of industry experts meticulously reviewed each entry, evaluating them based on multiple criteria to achieve a possible perfect score of 100 percent. Bayhealth competed against healthcare systems with 250+ inpatient beds across the nation.
“The awards demonstrate the diversity of expertise, innovation and talent on our team,” said Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Community Outreach Amanda Bowie, MSM. “We have the honor of bringing our brand to life through campaigns and communications that we hope inspire the communities we serve.”
All entries are scored on multiple criteria with a possibility of 100 percent (gold awards scored between 95-99% or top 5% in the nation; silver awards scored between 90-94% or top 12% in the nation; and bronze awards scored between 85-89% or top 16% in the nation).

“Marketing in healthcare often deals with serious illnesses, chronic conditions, or life-or-death situations. It’s challenging,” said Senior Manager of Marketing, Communications and Community Outreach Alice Rausch, MBA. “These awards are a testament to the balance of promoting healthcare services, while communicating about these issues in a way that is respectful and sensitive to our patients and their families.
