Volunteer Spotlight Dee Greenlee
Bayhealth Volunteer Services is excited to shine the spotlight on Dee Greenlee, a Sussex Campus volunteer who has been with Bayhealth since 2011.
Upon retirement, Dee wanted to stay active in the community and found her calling with the hospital back when it was Milford Memorial.
Dee began her volunteering journey as a Wayfinder in the Outpatient entrance, where her warm personality made a lasting impact on more than 14,000 people. As the first point of contact when patients arrive, Dee ensured members of the community felt welcome and supported. Today, Dee continues to share her expertise by training others who are new to the Wayfinder role.
Dee’s volunteer career has since led her to the Surgical Waiting Room, where she helps patients and their families feel welcomed, informed, and comfortable during what can be a stressful situation. Her compassion and dedication truly elevate the patient experience at Bayhealth.
Dee recently received the 2023 Physicians’ Appreciation award for 447 hours of service to Bayhealth patients. Thank you, Dee, for your years of service and for being such a positive force in our community.
Volunteering is a rewarding way to make a direct impact on your community. “Come join us, try it, and we will work to find the perfect spot for you,” said Dee.
