About
From a young age, Dr. Roach has always wanted to be a physician and never veered from that path. She grew up in Antigua in the Caribbean islands. While training in internal medicine, she knew she wanted to choose a sub-specialty focused on the whole patient, not just one system in the body. She found infectious disease to be the perfect fit.
Exceptional communication is fundamental to every patient care encounter that Dr. Roach provides. Recognizing that patients need to fully understand and agree with a treatment plan before fulfilling their part in the process, she takes time to listen with empathy and acknowledge their concerns and all they are going through.
Dr. Roach believes that everyone should have access to great healthcare. She is passionate about health equity and directly helping the underserved community through her work. Among the infectious disease care she offers are treatments for STDs and HIV, including PrEP or pre-exposure prophylaxis, a prevention medication.
Dr. Roach is very family oriented and enjoys being close to family members in New Jersey. She loves reading a good book, shopping, going out to restaurants, and going to the beach.
