About
Dr. Szydlowski’s interest in a medical career was sparked when working as an X-ray orderly over weekends to pay for his college. He graduated with an electrical engineering degree from Drexel University. He then enrolled at Hahnemann Medical school where he immediately discovered he wanted to be a heart surgeon.
After completing residencies in general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, he spent the early part of his career performing heart surgeries at Allegheny General in Pittsburgh then at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. His constant focus is to restore the quality of life and the quantity of life for patients suffering from heart disease.
Dr. Szydlowski takes times to explain in clear and understandable terms the reasons he recommends heart surgery to patients. With his surgical expertise and compassionate follow-up care, he furthers each patient’s individual journey to improved heart health and a fuller life.
When he’s not working, Dr. Szydlowski enjoys spending time with family. He also is an avid golfer and likes to travel.
