About
Dr. Gibbons is originally from Bermuda but spent many years of her upbringing in Cameroon and other parts of Africa as her parents did mission work. This allowed her to see firsthand how vital healthcare is to people’s lives, particularly in underserved communities. It inspired her to become a physician.
Completing her internal medicine residency in Brooklyn, New York during the time it was hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic played a part in shaping not only her clinical skillset but her strong empathetic style of patient care. Dr. Gibbons likes the fact that being a primary care doctor allows her to develop solid relationships with patients and provide preventive medicine that enhances their long-term health.
Dr. Gibbons sees each patient as an individual and strives to gets to know them and their unique needs. She works hard to build their trust in her as their doctor by being a good communicator and being there for them when they are most vulnerable and with whatever medical challenges they face. She is most satisfied in her work when she can help patients make healthy lifestyle choices and steer them down a path to better wellness.
Outside of her career, Dr. Gibbons loves art, music and dance. She also enjoys playing tennis.
