About
Growing up, Ruth saw the compassion and care that her mother, a nurse, gave to her patients. She aspired to go into the medical field so she too could provide that same level of patient care.
Born in Brooklyn and raised in Philadelphia, Ruth and her family later settled in Smyrna, Delaware, where she attended local public schools and then earned her undergraduate degree from Delaware State University. After gaining work experience as a pharmacy technician, Ruth went on to earn a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in Philadelphia. She also worked as a physician assistant hospitalist at ChristianaCare.
With her entire family having been on the receiving end of exceptional care through Bayhealth over the years, it was gratifying for her to join the healthcare system and make a difference in the lives of community members.
As she learned in her training, Ruth always strives to evaluate the whole patient and consider each person’s health conditions and life circumstances. She provides holistic and compassionate care to help those with many different types of ear, nose and throat conditions find answers and feel better.
Outside of work, Ruth enjoys quality time with her son as well as other family members and friends. She also likes to hike and travel.
