About

Tricia L. Delnay, ACNP-BC, DNP, is an acute care nurse practitioner who works with cardiology patients, and those with cardiac devices in particular.

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Akron’s School of Nursing in Ohio, Tricia completed additional schooling to become a nurse practitioner while working in her field. She received a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Pittsburgh with an emphasis on cardiopulmonary acute care and a minor in nursing informatics. She then went on to earn a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, the highest level of education available in nursing.

With more than 15 years’ experience in patient care, Tricia has dedicated her career to helping improve patients’ heart health. She has a specialization in cardiac electrophysiology—focused on the heart’s electrical system. She provides thorough and compassionate care as she helps manage patients’ treatment plans. These plans typically involve implantable electrical devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators and implantable loop monitors, that control heart rhythm irregularities.

When she’s not working, Tricia likes to spend time with her Golden Retriever, a therapy dog, taking her on volunteer visits to a nearby children’s hospital.
