All Patient Stories, Cancer Care
No Time Like the Present
Dan Wagner knows firsthand the importance of getting screened for colon cancer. After experiencing concerning symptoms, he scheduled a colonoscopy. The results shocked him. He was diagnosed with not one, but two types of colon cancer, each with a different level of aggressiveness. This discovery automatically made him high risk. However, Bayhealth Oncologist Rishi Sawhney, MD, and Colorectal Surgeon Assar Rather, MD, put a care plan in place and made sure Wagner was informed every step of the way. Wagner’s biggest piece of advice is to not put off getting screened—it could save your life.
