Weather-Related Changes at Bayhealth

With winter weather expected across central and southern Delaware on Tuesday, Feb. 11, Bayhealth announces the following delayed openings for Wednesday, Feb. 12. This message will be updated by 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12 should changes need to be made to keep our patients, team members and clinicians safe.

  • All Bayhealth Medical Group practices and Bayhealth specialty practices will open at 10 a.m. on Feb. 12.
  • Bayhealth Occupational Health, Dover and Milford will open at 10 a.m. on Feb. 12.
  • Bayhealth Walk-In, Blue Hen and Milford will open at 10 a.m. on Feb. 12.

Team members across Bayhealth are notifying patients of these late openings and may offer alternatives to in-person appointments such as telehealth and rescheduling appointments.

Our hospitals and emergency departments will remain open to care for patients. This includes our Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus; Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus; Bayhealth Emergency and Urgent Care Center, Total Care; and Bayhealth Smyrna Emergency Department.

Outpatient Services provided at our main Bayhealth Kent and Sussex Campuses will open on time including Imaging, Lab, Oncology, Outpatient Therapies and Wound Care.

Additionally, patients scheduled for elective surgeries on Feb. 12 at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent and Sussex Campuses should arrive as scheduled. If a patient has questions, please call 302-744-7093 (Kent) or 302-430-5746 (Sussex).

Bayhealth also offers a virtual urgent care option called Bayhealth@Home. The mobile app may be used from any location. Visit Bayhealth.org/VUC to learn more.
